THE INSPIRATION BEHIND MY DESIGNS
In drawing, I often see fantastic patterns and endless possibilities to create. From close observation and use of sketchbooks this provides a rich ground to capture hidden visual languages. I grew up in Somerset and our garden was filled with Forget-me-nots, Daisies, Roses, Daffodils, a Willow and a very colourful Sumach Tree. Creating designs from nature began here and later developed on a Drawing & Applied Arts degree in Bristol.

INSPIRATION BEHIND MY DESIGNS:
SEAWEEDS: As well as avoiding the Jellyfish! I collected various pieces of Seaweed when swimming off the little beach I visit when in Cornwall, UK. As they dried out they became wonderful subjects and like a lot of drawing exercises, unexpected shapes and sights appear that make the drawing that much more magical.
